Play-based, child-led interventions designed around your child’s needs

What Is Applied Behavior Analysis?

Applied Behavior Analysis or ABA takes what we know about behavior and uses it to bring about positive change (Applied). Behaviors are defined in observable and measurable terms in order to assess change over time (Behavior). The behavior is analyzed within the environment to determine what factors are influencing the behavior (Analysis).

What We Do

  • We provide one-on-one services in the home, community, and school settings.
  • We offer programs that are created and supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and implemented by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
  • We provide treatment that is kind, effective, ethical, and that targets socially significant behavior change.
  • We deliver services that are play-based and child-led, employing the following methodologies to decrease challenging behavior and increase functional communication, as well as social, play, daily living, pre-academic, and safety skills, depending on each child’s needs:
    • Pivotal Response Training (PRT)
    • Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
    • Positive Behavior Support (PBS)
    • Verbal Behavior (VB) and;
    • Natural Environment Teaching (NET)

How We Can Help

Communication Skills

ABA therapy can decrease echolalia and scripting, as well as improve functional communication and basic language skills, helping children get their needs met appropriately and easily.

Social and Play Skills

Skills include initiating interactions, playing cooperatively, engaging in pretend play, taking turns, sharing control with others, losing appropriately, displaying good sportsmanship, and more.

Self-Help Skills

We can help your child learn to brush their teeth, get dressed, bathe, and complete other daily routines. We can also assist with potty training.

Pre-Academic Skills

Interest in books, as well as the skills of attending, letter and number recognition, counting, following simple instructions (and more), all help create success at school.

Challenging Behaviors

ABA helps reduce tantrums and other problem or unsafe behaviors through positive reinforcement of appropriate behaviors and a variety of interventions chosen to address the specific needs of your child.

Family Training

Our goal is to train caregivers in the techniques and strategies that have been successful so that we aren’t needed anymore. You’ve got this!
